Kira Taiwo, daughter of late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has welcomed a baby boy.
The development comes just days after the burial of her father, who died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66.
Kira’s newborn arrival has brought a moment of joy to the Hassan family, which has been mourning the death of the celebrated Yoruba actor.
Pictures of the newborn have reportedly surfaced on social media, with fans and well-wishers flooding the family with congratulatory messages. P.M.News reported that the family had yet to make an official announcement as of Wednesday.
Some fans have described the baby as a reminder of Ogogo, with emotional comments suggesting that the late actor’s legacy would live on through his grandson.
Ogogo was buried according to Islamic rites on Monday, August 24, in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, following an emotional farewell attended by family members, colleagues and sympathisers.
The actor was one of the prominent figures in Yoruba-language Nollywood, with a career spanning several decades.
The birth of Kira’s son has therefore brought a bittersweet moment of celebration to the family amid their ongoing grief over Ogogo’s passing.
