Seyi Tinubu and members of the City Boys Movement have visited former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, to congratulate him on his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.
The visit, which was disclosed in photographs shared on social media on Thursday, comes days after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu formally constituted the APC Presidential Campaign Council and named Yari as its Director-General.
Yari, who represents Zamfara West in the Senate, previously served as governor of Zamfara State from 2011 to 2019. His appointment places him at the centre of the APC’s campaign machinery as the ruling party begins preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
Seyi Tinubu is the Grand Patron of the City Boys Movement, a political support group aligned with President Tinubu. The movement has been involved in grassroots mobilisation and other activities in support of the administration and the APC’s political objectives.

The City Boys Movement’s visit is seen as part of the growing political engagements following the unveiling of the APC campaign council, which has brought together senior party leaders and political strategists from across the country.
President Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the campaign council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as Vice Chairmen. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named Secretary of the council.
The President has charged members of the campaign council to work towards securing victory for the APC in the 2027 presidential election, with emphasis on showcasing the administration’s achievements and mobilising support across the country.
Yari’s emergence as Director-General is therefore expected to strengthen the coordination of the APC’s nationwide campaign and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the election.
