FG Opens Registration for ₦50,000 SMEDAN Grant for Small Businesses Across Nigeria, Apply Here

The Federal Government, through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, has opened registration for its Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS), offering eligible nano businesses across Nigeria a non-repayable grant of ₦50,000 to support business growth and job creation.
The scheme is targeted at nano enterprises operating at the local government level and is designed to provide financial assistance to help small businesses purchase equipment, strengthen operations, and expand their workforce.
According to SMEDAN, beneficiaries will receive a ₦50,000 grant on the condition that they employ at least one person, a requirement aimed at stimulating employment while supporting the growth of micro enterprises across the country.
The agency said the programme forms part of its broader efforts to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing access to financial support and business development opportunities.
Interested business owners can register their interest through the official SMEDAN CGS portal by providing their full name, email address, phone number, business name, CAC registration number (where applicable), industry, and years of business operation.
SMEDAN noted that submitting a registration does not automatically guarantee selection for the grant. Applicants may be contacted for screening, verification, and other stages of the application process before any funds are disbursed.
The agency added that the Conditional Grant Scheme is expected to improve business performance, increase competitiveness, promote market access, encourage job creation, and strengthen the sustainability of Nigeria’s smallest businesses.
