Just In:Cristiano Ronaldo Set to Marry Longtime Fiancée Georgina Rodriguez Nect Saturday

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to marry his longtime fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, next Saturday in a lavish ceremony on the Portuguese island of Madeira, according to a report by The Sun.
The report said the couple will exchange vows at the historic cathedral in Funchal, the capital of Madeira and Ronaldo’s birthplace, with the ceremony scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. local time.
Following the church service, guests are expected to attend an exclusive reception at the luxurious Savoy Palace Hotel, where two entire floors and several bar areas have reportedly been reserved for the high-profile celebration. Hotel guests have also been informed that parts of the property will be closed on Friday and Saturday to accommodate the event.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together since 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez worked as a sales assistant. Their relationship has since become one of football’s most celebrated love stories, and the pair got engaged in August last year.
Speculation about an imminent wedding intensified after the couple were recently photographed wearing matching diamond rings while boarding a yacht in Majorca.
The Portuguese captain had previously revealed during an interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan that he hoped to get married after the FIFA World Cup.
“I hope to arrive at my wedding with the champion’s trophy,” Ronaldo had said.
However, Portugal’s World Cup campaign ended in disappointment after the team was eliminated by eventual champions Spain, ending the 41-year-old’s dream of lifting football’s biggest prize before his wedding.
Despite the setback, reports indicate the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is pressing ahead with the ceremony as he prepares to begin a new chapter with Rodríguez, whom he has publicly described as the only woman he has ever wanted to settle down with.
Neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has officially confirmed the wedding plans as of Sunday.
